Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi, usually abbreviated FMS Delhi, was founded in 1954 and is the first business school in India which started offering management training to professional managers in the form of a part time MBA Programme. It has been consistently ranked among top business schools in Indian b-school surveys. The first set of professors was trained at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and the institute was started at the Delhi School of Economics under the leadership of Prof. A. Dasgupta. The past decades have witnessed a significant growth in the nature and number of programmes offered at the FMS. It is one of the oldest business schools in India and has a strong alumni network. FMS comes under the aegis of the University of Delhi.
